When you meet with your financial planner or attorney and make your wishes known, you can be assured that your philanthropic giving will leave a legacy that will be enjoyed by future generations. It is never too early to plan your estate and leave a legacy. After browsing the information below, please call 763-572-3588 if you need more information.
HOW TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
Bequests: You can provide for a gift to Springbook Nature Center Foundation (SNCF) by including a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust. SNCF will receive the gift and abide by your specifications. Your assets will remain in your control during your lifetime. You can change your gift directive if circumstances change. You can take the estate tax deduction and save money today while benefiting the future of Springbrook.
GIFT OF RETIREMENT ASSETS
Have your financial planner help you name Springbrook Nature Center Foundation as the beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k) or other qualified plan. The monies left in your accounts will go to SNCF tax free. You will NOT pay income or estate tax on the remainder in your accounts. It is most beneficial to your heirs to donate the more heavily taxed accounts and give the less heavily taxed properties to them. You can continue to withdraw from these accounts even though they have been gifted. You can also change the beneficiary if circumstances change.
LIFE INSURANCE
You can name Springbook Nature Center Foundation (SNCF) as a beneficiary so that upon your death the proceeds will go to SNCF. Your money will be spent as specified in your policy.
No matter what the amount or type of donation, you will have the peace of mind that comes from realizing that your legacy will live on by supporting the things you value. Those who have made this effort express great satisfaction that their legacy will help support the environment, education and recreation in a well managed local nature center.
THE GREAT EGRET SOCIETY
